I’m the founder and owner of Kira-Fansub. What initially made me start all of this was the day Mai-Hime BD was released and available online. I was trying to add subtitles to it and spent countless hours online looking up the best way to go around it. I decided to share it online so that I wouldn’t be the only one who was amazed at the end result.
Visitors to my site suddenly started asking me for more similar releases which eventually brought about what visitors see every time they visit my site. I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times when I thought of giving up. Yet seeing how so many different people from around the world were downloading my work gave me the incentive to work even more.
My role here is to obtain possession of the BD/DVD raws as soon as its availability and edit it to the best of my abilities by including subs, correct timing, and eye-appealing fonts, and anything that will make it stand out from the rest. I plan to release BD/DVD animes that show my viewers that there is only one place to get anime releases of such high quality. My slang is “Hot and Ready”.

Greetings I am John Conner. I was recently brought on to the Kira-Fansub team not as a subber or editor but as the “Doujin Master” to bring our viewers various series related doujins to the anime we host on our site. I spent more than fair amount of time viewing, reviewing, writing about doujins and hentai. I’m not addicited to it at all. I can quit anytime a group of family or friends hold an intervention.
I can assure you all my doujins have been screened for undesirable situations. They contain no rape or ntr. Because doujins shouldn’t just be about sex. They should be about LOVE. I will be continuing to update our Doujin section as translated doujins become available. If there is a request for a doujin to be translated please contact Romeyo. If it piques his interest he may work on it.

My tendency to nitpick and obsess about things (especially errors) landed me a job here as QC. Somehow I mostly ended up editing the scripts for better flow though. And occasionally doing a ninja-edit of announcements, for fun and candies!
Anyway, I see fansubbing as a fun business, so I ignore all the trolls and don’t partake in the drama. Doesn’t mean the other staff members don’t have to suffer through the occasional good-natured troll from me, though. ![]()
Anyway, as already mentioned I’m here to smooth over any edges left in the scripts I work on. In general, I try to stay close to the original style of the editor working on the script first, so if you have complaints about honorifics (important topic), direct them at him/her/them/it.
So far I didn’t really hear many complaints about the end results, so I guess I must be doing something right. ![]()
In conclusion, I hope you’ll enjoy reading what I worked on, or at the very least, point out things you don’t like in the comments section – constructive critique just allows us to grow and become more powerful until we rule the world, after all. Or something like that. ![]()
Maruko Adds: Call him CocoPuffs <3. She’ll blush and end up making you go HNNGH.

I’m “elder” than most. I watched anime back when everything was still called cartoons here in The States and never stopped enjoying animated shows in some form or another. I kept up with the “anime” side of things by purchasing random box sets whenever they looked interesting. I’m one who watches anime for the sheer enjoyment of it and I try to avoid any drama (outside of the shows themselves that is). I can sympathize with the fanatical fanboys; I definitely don’t empathize with them.
I “went away” for a while and since my return I’ve mainly been working behind the scenes on Site Maintenance (like this page) and organizing d/l links etc. If I do my work well, you’ll never even know I’m here
(other than seeing me in Cbox and IRC)

Kirino > Kuroneko. Deal with it.
Seeing as as how I’m not as active as I can be on the site, I will keep this as short as possible.
I joined Kira-Fansubs in October of 2010 when Romeyo asked if I could take care of seeding his releases (since I had a slightly faster connection than him at the time). It was during then that he taught me the very basics that go on in this world. But of course what I’ll most remember this guy for is for introducing me to the series I have been obsessed with ever since: Oreimo.
Several months later I finally got serious about it and started learning how to time and k-time from various sources. Many sources were contradictory and even downright false but somehow I managed to find my own style.
I’m currently the main timer in Oyatsu Fansubs, a rather new group that was founded this past summer with little fanfare. However our recognition grew exponentially thanks to being involved in Tamayura and Mashiro. I have also been involved in several projects for other groups whether through favors or simply wanting to volunteer. And as of right now, I’m currently helping out Boz and Corocoro with their Kira projects (Denpa and Softenni) which are currently delayed beyond belief thanks to me.
As for the coming months, I hope to lessen my workload and focus more on older projects that are not time-constraint. So far I only plan to fansub one new series next season and hope it stays that way. But of course if asked where it all got started for me, it will always be here.

Hello there! I’m Flammer, the new encoder and typesetter, as well, of this group. Do know how to deal with all sorts of files and do work with both x264 and XviD, so my goal is to become as good as Quazza. Hated by hatters, loved by flammers, seems ya’ll have to bear with my encode skills. I’m doing some work as typesetter too, so expect great things. Anyway, i came here to learn more than what i already know, so i’m coal with everything you might say to me (insults and such).
Now, speaking about my fav anime, K-ON! is on the top of that list. The ecchi anime borderline hentai i love the most is B Gata H Kei. In the other hand, the most awesome and tear-jerking anime ever is Clannad ~After Story~. For last, and in a totally unrelated remark, i must say Mio-chan is my waifu.
Oh, and i’m pretty sure Kuroneko > Kirino. I’m just saying…

Here goes nothing I suppose. I’ll start with a little introduction of myself, which hopefully won’t bore you to death. (Who am I kidding you guys just want your delicious anime.) I’ve always liked anime, but I’ve only recently developed a passion for it. The search eventually led me a site where I found K-ON! and then shit hit the fan. (I’m going to stop here to plug K-ON! as the easily in the top 3 anime of all time.) Since then I’ve been grabbing anything and everything that comes at me. Oh and I have two jobs, friends, school, life, etc. etc.
But yeah, this is my first fansubbing position and I was hired by chance more than anything. I guess being a total faggot who likes 720p got me somewhere after all.
Basically I’m the poor man’s hero here, so bow down you pathetic minions as I deliver your anime at a lower resolution and file size. Like I said though this is my first time being in a group so I’m bound to make mistakes so feel free to speak up if anything is awry. I take criticism positively and probably won’t back-trace your IP and burn down your house if you point out a mistake.

Gonna keep this short with a few facts about myself:
>I personally have been watching anime for years back before most of you even heard of anime and even knew half of what you may know about Japan.
>I have terrible OCD for things done incorrect.
>I spend way too much time on 4chan.
>Take anything I say with a grain of salt, since I often make up bullshit when I don’t care.
>Going into more detail on what I said last, I normally don’t care about anything someone says as I don’t value your opinion. Nor do I give a damn about anything you do.
>If you ever need help with something don’t ask me, because I will likely troll you. Unless you are Maruko then you can ask me for whatever.
In summary I edit and QC scripts and don’t care about you.
Kirino>Kuroneko However I still love Kuroneko

Hello Hello! I’m Quazza: AMV editor, master encoder, and all around awesome person! I’m the new expert encoder here at Kira, which is kinda surprising since I’m not really into ecchi. I like HOTD, Oreimo, and PSG and saw them here and I was pleased with the quality. I got bored one day and decided to apply for the open encoder position on the site and as you can obviously tell, got it.
I take my encodes seriously and go over them frame by frame unless stated otherwise. There is very little I don’t know about video. If you have questions or comments feel free to ask me in IRC but please take note of the following: I don’t do encoding for you or for prestige. I do it because I love it. Feedback, whether it be good or bad, is taken with a grain of salt unless you also know how to encode.
That said, I’m not really that threatening of a person. I am also a Kirino supporter…Deal with it.
