  1. Was looking through the comparison pics and thinking meh, its not THAT different, maybe i’ll skip the BD.
Then i saw the last pic
    o.O

    Getto!

  2. NOW I’ll give this a watch. I was gonna check this out, but with all the ridiculous censoring I chose not too. Thanks Kira guys (and gals if there are).

  3. Dang, the panties are pretty detail, me want… Thanks a lot Kira…

    Btw, 1 Vol = 1 Eps???

  4. May I ask what the point is in putting the AAC as default for the 720p? Actually… may I ask what the point is of including the AAC at all?

    • do u really want to start this drama. I added AAC+FLAC cuz first, not gonna affect the stander size of an episode. 2nd so don’t and ask me for FLAC or AAC. I put AAC first for 720p cuz I know people that download 720p are poor and can’t handle FLAC or doesn’t care wither AAC or FLAC, not like quality whore that like everything 1080p and FLAC. I was hopeing no one complain since I spent 12 hrs working on this volume and released it before the people in japan get there BD.

      • Yeah, 720p people really only care about video quality. Sound is 2nd if at all. =D

If you get 1080p, chances are you can afford a good machine. 720p generally poor XD

        720p = good video

        1080p = good video + good sound =D

        Thank you Romeyo007

        • I download 720p because i prefer it over 1080p not because I’m poor (which i’m not), less file size (some have download limits still in this day & age sigh) , better playback, less power used, not a great detail difference between either on anime(tested several) , flac is just wasted space against aac / ogg / dts / dolby. best left for cd’s.

720p on a sub 30w 24/7 itx dead silent system (& handles flac) vs 1080p & booting up a high end high wattage (75 – 255w) non silent (quiet to some, to me not enough) gaming box to run it.

Which has the more enjoyable media viewing & “listening” experience? :p

1080p maybe on screens 55″+ or projectors but 42″ & lower 720 is plenty for the most part

The main thing with x/h.264 .mkv that systems can’t handle well is the reference frame count the higher it is the more power you need. It might reduce file size but it has the potential to cripple capable systems in the process.

          Thanks for releasing 720p’s :D

          • Dmonhiro-

Hey man the way I have my browser I can’t post on your page. So since you are here for a little bit. Thanks for the stuff you do too mate. =)

Kira, keep up to good work, of course =D

  5. Was wondering the same.. oh well bandwith doesn’t really bother me so I’ll just demux the AAC track for my self and keep the FLAC one.

  6. Yeah, I was wondering why there was AAC+FLAC in this one. Just go with one or the other.

The _only_ thing I could think of is devices which only support AAC (PS3?), but these would require remuxing at least and audio conversions were never slow anyway. (dunno whether PS3 can handle soft subs either (don’t have one) but I’m personally doubting it)

  7. whining about why this/that music on a FREE release? lol.
Say thxs and remux it yourselves. Thxs Kira.

  8. Not whining. Genuine curiosity. I really don’t get why one would do that. You don’t see many releases with both AAC and FLAC.

PS: I recommend GotWoot. They are less literal then Ayako. And I don’t mean that they are localized, I just mean that Ayako went really overboard with keeping the subs as literal as possible, making some sentences sound awkward. Both are good though, it’s only a matter of perspective.

    • @zzz: Ps3 cant handle softsubs, I convert my files to Mp4 and hardsub them so I can watch them on my Ps3.

@DmonHiro: Thanks, I’ll stick with GotWoot.

      • i always thought Gotwoot has more literal translations than Ayako did. i guess its time to swap over to ayako.

  9. @dmon, in my opinion FLAC is a waste of diskspace most of the time,
and when you have both you can remove whatever track you don’t use.
In my case, the flac one.

    • @telja: don’t want to go about FLAC vs AAC, but if you think FLAC is a waste of space, simply convert FLAC to AAC, or whatever lossy format at whatever bitrate suits your taste more. Again, audio conversions were never slow, even on really outdated hardware.

Including the AAC track simply increases download and filesize for those who cbf remuxing.

Again, not complaining – it’s free and I’m going to get this, but, as said above, it’s an odd thing to do, so I thought I’d come here and ask.
Thanks for the rip guys! :D

    • if u like the BD included the censored episode if still like them and want penguin in 1080p mail me and i will send it to u xD

      • While I appreciate the insanity of your offer I’ll probably just keep my tvrips for the lulz. :)

        <3

    • this one cuz it was one episode BD it cost me 54$ with one day shipping from CdJapan
vol 2-6 gonna cost me each around 95-105$

  10. Music Torrents dont work (both flac and 320kbs)
did u do anything else than usual? cause the episoede works per torrent, only the music torrents wont be loaded into the torrent program

  11. bah that suxx!
all the time you can watch s01e01-e02 and now with this anime only fuc*** ONE -.-

then I/We just have to wait a year to see the whole anime in bd ^^

    • no no no, only vol 1 have 1 episode. vol 2-5 have 3 episode and the last vol will have unaired episode

  12. Quick question, anyone else getting an error with the font on the nced ? like the japanese characters are all [][][][][][][][] … like the font don’t accept them, if that helps , im on win 7 x64 with support for native japanese.

btw, nice release kira, the video is perfect as the sound, 1080p here :)

  13. To Kira staff who eva’ is naming the files.

Please keep the file names consistent.
If there’s a real v2 please delete the old torrent off Nyaa with a new one, same with any DDL…

Example: Amagami, one or two with different CRC(?) number (which is the final version???), just a lot of confusion on the Amagami releases.

And lately Yosuga no Sora vol.1, Akira Arc, Nao Arc thus far…

  14. MU links for the music cds pls, torrent refuses to work for some reason and fs is no choice for free users.
    thanks

  15. Nice to see them releasing the Blu-rays so soon, most of these guys wait until the whole series is done broadcasting..

Kudos for the awesome delivery, romeyo007 and crew~

Keep up the good work. ^^

  16. awesome. just finished watching this release you put together. great job… im liking it. i’ll be archiving your BD releases. thanks =)

  17. I’m getting some weird behavior from the ED and OP files. They seem to lag terribly, yet the episode itself plays fine. I have a pretty strong system, so is anyone else experiencing these lag issues with the OP and ED?

  18. Subs on ep1 seem to have some issues. The ayako ones appear damaged at 15:22 and in both versions the op subs are partly off the screen at the top (and presumably missing at the bottom since I see no romanji)

    • Nope, old-fashioned 8bit
(Released March 9, 2011 with final batch release on September 22, 2011 may have given it away :D )
