Volume 7 brings us far beyond the original television broadcast and will serve as a necessary transition into the next phase of the series. Whether to appeal to fans who are not fond of certain upcoming episodes or simply a coincidence, Volume 7 includes several notable extras such as the full length Opening Song “irony” and Stardust Witch Meruru Opening. The much coveted Animated Commentaries are of course also included with the release. Karaoke (romaji and kanji) is provided on all the songs from the episodes and extras. At times it felt like it was only one, two, or three of us working on this release, and many times that proved to be the case since it was summer. It may have been released much earlier but problems kept appearing, at times problems that could only be solved by one person. That being said, I’d like to thank Xavier for helping me out with these dilemmas, if it wasn’t for your insight I have no idea how we could have released this.
If you have any legitimate questions or concerns about our Oreimo releases feel free to contact me (MarukoM) on our IRC Channel. But please don’t waste my time by asking me gooberish questions such as “Are you working on Volume 8?”
I’ve got to say, getting updates can sometimes make waiting even worse than if you didn’t have them. Before the last update I checked the site every couple of days, the last 2 days I’ve been checking about 3 times a day. I understand the wait (with the quality you release while still being a group that does this for free, it’s worth many times the wait we’ve had) and am looking forward to the finished product. A couple of days not quite ready or half a month not quite ready (or.. god forbid, more D:)? I’m just asking because I’ve been pretty autistic this past month checking every day, but now I’m a little busier so I’ll have to stop that. Unless it’s coming out within a few days so I’ll just bear a little longer.

The seven previous volumes all took at max 1-2 weeks to translate 2 commentries at around 10-15 mins each q_q
no, but we’re taking our time to do stuff correctly and summer was a bitch too, understaffed & all, bear with it. Again if u feel it’s too long, feel free to do it yourself.

JK. I know you guys are doing this for free so a 20% pay cut wouldnt matter, but seriously, we’ve waited 2 months for “the usual AC, ncop/nced, and the ED music” because you guys are so good at what you do. Don’t get me wrong, im not complaining about how long its taking you to finish, though it is contributing to my frustrations, because i know since this is the series last (possible) release and we all love this series, you would want to make the least amount of mistakes possible. Whats getting me to write this is where you would give us possible release dates/ranges and then fail to deliver such as

Sorry if it seems like im just ranting of on you because i don’t really wanna do the work myself, but, just like most of us, i can’t manage to understand an episode without your help with the sub titles. If i could i wouldn’t be asking for subtitles, but instead the raws. As i mentioned earlier, im only ticked of at the fact that your giving me false hope in the form of unfulfilled possible released dates or ranges. So what im asking is that if your not gonna finish and post the project within the time range of the post, please dont make it look like itll be released then, because im waking up every morning checking for the post and yelling at the screen every time i check for the update. Dang, once i watched a recording of it and i looked like i was nuts. Oh, since your in the final stages, i suspect that some of its finished, so could you just post the finished parts for the rest of us to enjoy while we wait for the whole project to be done, please. and sorry if this sounded like i was accusing you at all or if it offended you at all, because im not mad at you for being slow but very diligent workers, and i know you have your own lives to deal with, along with this summer being a bitch and all (it got me too, so i feel for you on that one), but that many days in which you say it may be posted by and then failing to deliver a single thing that many times has kind of lowered my expectations of your words, so seriously, dont give me false deadlines. and thank you for your hard work in translating such a series
