Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Volume 8 (1080p/720p) (Final)

July 29, 2012 Update

After nearly 10 months, the complete revamp for the Oreimo S1 BD project has started. This will be a joint project between Broken and Kira since our staffers are involved in both groups.

  • It will be led by MarukoM and Virus123, who were responsible for Oyatsu’s PapaKiki, Broken’s Ozma, and AnimeTL-Broken’s Tari Tari.
  • Improved editing, TS, styling, and KFX.
  • Mazui Subs’ batch scripts will be used since their translation is most accurate
  • Static-Subs Hardsubbed TS will be used as the basis for our Softsubbed TS
  • Improved 10-bit encoding to fix the FPS bullshit in some episodes

I am currently looking for a willing TL who will redo or TLC the translation for the extra BD scenes and Animated Commentaries. All applicants will be tested beforehand. PM MarukoM on #Broken-Subs on irc.rizon.net for inquiries.

As the Aniplex Blu-ray release of the show contains subs for the animated Commentaries, and Mazui’s batch script contains their own translations for the extra scenes, additional TL help will no longer be necessary. Thank you.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Volume 7 (1080p/720p)

Volume 7 brings us far beyond the original television broadcast and will serve as a necessary transition into the next phase of the series. Whether to appeal to fans who are not fond of certain upcoming episodes or simply a coincidence, Volume 7 includes several notable extras such as the full length Opening Song “irony” and Stardust Witch Meruru Opening. The much coveted Animated Commentaries are of course also included with the release. Karaoke (romaji and kanji) is provided on all the songs from the episodes and extras. More information on what went on behind the scenes is presented under Info/Credits.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Volume 6 (1080p/720p)

行ってしまうの 私が先叶う でももう少しだけ 一緒にいようね

I might be leaving, my dreams might come true. But let’s stay together just for a little longer.

Volume 6 brings us to the end of the episodes from the original television broadcast, but the story is far from over. While some claim that the anime was only meant to serve as promotion for the light novel and manga series, their argument proves invalid for the fact that there are still two additional BD volumes to be released for the Ore no Imouto series. That being said, the remaining two BD volumes serve as a necessary transition into the next phase of the relationship between the three.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Volume 5 (1080p/720p)

Uchuu ni kirame~ku nagare boshi~ ☆

A shooting star sparkling in space~ ☆

Volume 5 was released on Blu-Ray and continues offering more insight into the characters from not only the episodes themselves but the ever so entertaining animated commentaries. As one blogger put it, “[The Animated Commentaries] are some of the best and most interesting I’ve seen in a long, long time.” Of course, Volume 5 can’t be complete without a translation and karaoke of Meteo☆Impact.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai Volume 4 (1080p/720p)

After more than a month due to the unfortunate tragedies in Japan, Volume 4 of the series has been released on Blu-Ray. Otaku life is no longer the main theme in Oreimo but rather a backdrop to the relationships between the siblings and close friends. Relationships, whether for better or worse, are what define Oreimo from now on, as evidenced by the cover of the Volume 8 Light Novel which is expected to be released next month.
