Shuffle! Memories will be unavoidably delayed until further notice.
RahXephon: We are still working on this in the background and will be releasing it in 5-episode batches (ETA anytime soon).
Seikon no Qwaser: So after watching the SnQ Music Video I finally got motivated and decided to get serious about finishing this project.
Quazza was the lead encoder for the Seikon no Qwaser re-release project until he had to withdraw due to private matters in real life. We can’t blame him, real life sure can suck.
But we didn’t give up thanks to Xavier. He offered his help to encode these hardcore (pain in the a&&) files for us so now it’s the real deal, we are pulling this project off the back-burner and are going to concentrate on getting this finished.
Since we are spending a lot of time and effort on fixing the video and trying to make the best out of these Blu-rays, we would like ask someone to help out the translator by going over the scripts and double-checking them. By this we mean just TLC and not QC. So to anyone who loves this show and knows Japanese, please help us by e-mailing me at Kiraemail@example.com or getting in touch with us on our IRC channel #Kira-Fansub irc://irc.rizon.net/Kira-Fansub
We will be waiting for you.
After the recent re-release of Seikon no Qwaser Vol 01, I honestly started losing hope of redoing the entire series due to my own personal opinion on the resulting video quality and the the comments posted on it. It appears that encoding from the BDMV is not really helping at all since it still doesn’t look as good as I expected it to look. In fact, some are claiming that the original raws used several months back were of higher quality. Therefore, I thought about it for the past few days and it comes down to two options.
1) Release patches (V2 Subtitles) for the original 1080p that was released several months ago (click on “Seikon no Qwasar BD” tag below to see past releases). This will result in the same original raws fromt the past with updated/edited subtitles. In addition, the 720p episodes will be downscaled from the original 1080p raws –in order to complete the rest of the missing 720p episodes. Menu and the TV preview editions can still be added.
2) Simply continue encoding from the new BDMV, and thus continuing on with the project as expected.
Therefore, I will leave it to you guys to decide what is the best course of action (use comments section). Thus, the project will be temporarily stalled and hopefully we can come up with a final solution to this problem by the time I finish my final exam next wednesday. You are more than welcome to post comparison shot links in the comments section in order to help each other decide. I apologize for this inconvenience and hopefully we can resolve this dilemma together. A poll may added later on this week after everyone’s arguments are established and known in the comment’s section.
